Julia Barretto is gearing up for the release of her first TV5 teleserye, Di Na Muli. In the series, Julia plays Yanna Aguinaldo, a young woman who has an unusual gift: She can see the lifespan of people just by holding their hand. This causes her to refrain from forming close relationships with others, until she encounters Mico Emmanuel (played by Marco Gumabao).
At the end of the trailer, Julia's character Yanna says: "Kapag mahal mo, hindi mo susukuan. Kahit mahirap, kakapit ka pa rin." What a ~*heavy*~ line, right?
During the virtual Di Na Muli mediacon, Julia was asked by Philippine Daily Inquirer's Dolly Ann Carvajal: "In the trailer, you said, ''Pag mahal mo, di dapat sukuan.' But in real life, what are the reasons that will make you give up on someone you love?"

"So kumbaga what will make me walk out of a relationship, is that the question?" Julia clarified. "Siguro I will only walk away from a relationship kapag ayaw na ng isa. I'll only walk away when he walks away." Laughing, she added: "[In] general ha."
"Kidding aside, mahirap sagutin yung tanong na ganyan lalo na kapag wala ka sa sitwasyon na ganun. Nasa kutob yan e, nasa pakiramdam yan. Pero I will only walk away when the person I'm in a relationship with wants to walk away. Because there's respect, we respect that they don't want it anymore. So hindi na, 'wag pilitin. Don't force somebody to be in a relationship with you if they don't want to be with you anymore. And I think that's the time you walk away as well."
Julia is currently in a relationship with Gerald Anderson. Gerald confirmed that they were dating in March 2021, during a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda.
Di Na Muli will premiere on September 18, with new episodes released every Saturday at 8 p.m.
