To the delight of Jelena fans everywhere, it looks like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's relationship status is "strong." This, according to a new report from E! News published over the weekend. According to the outlet, things for the on-again, off-again couple have been "so different" ever since they reportedly got back together in the fall. (Recall the joy you experienced when you first saw photos of Jelena on a sweet bicycle ride together, or when you saw those photos of them kissing at his hockey game.)
One source tells E! News that Justin has been "behaving like a gentleman and showing how much he cares about her," adding that his heart is basically an open book. (Unfortunately, there were no further details, so it's unclear if this means Justin is opening more doors for Selena, waiting for her to sit before he sits, or other gentlemanly stuff like that.) The same source also credits Justin with being better at keeping in touch, something the two did when they spent Thanksgiving 2017 apart. (At the time, E! reported that Jelena FaceTimed while she spent the holiday with her family in Texas and Justin wounded up at a hockey practice in Canada.)
E! also explores how the success of Jelena in 2018 is related to their respective relationships with their moms. Despite Mandy Teefy saying she is "not happy" with her daughter's reunion with the Biebs but that Selena can live "however she wants as long as she is happy, safe, and healthy," another E! source says "everything is better with Selena and her mother." As for Justin and his mom Pattie Mallette, the two are reportedly "very close" and he remains "grounded and humble." Earlier this month, Pattie shared this encouraging note about Justin on Instagram, writing, "I'm so proud of the amazing young man you are, and the young man you are becoming."
Guess the only thing left to do is for Jelena to post their first Insta of 2018. Now wouldn't that be grand?
