Here's Where Your Fave K-Drama Stars Went To School

Have you ever wondered where your fave K-drama actors and actresses went for their college degrees? We're already familiar with popular secondary schools—mostly for K-pop idols—such as the School Of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), Hanlim Arts School, and Lila Art High School. But where did our K-drama faves spend their college days? Do they always study theater or film, or did they pursue other interests before acting?

Below is a list of popular universities and the notable Hallyu stars who studied there:

1. Seoul National University

Hi Bye, Mama!'s Kim Tae Hee graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor's degree in fashion and design. Meanwhile, actress, musician, and beauty pageant titleholder Honey Lee studied music in SNU. Actor Lee Soon Jae, whom we often see in dramas as the appa or grandpa, is also an alumnus.

SNU is dubbed as the "Harvard of Korea" because it's one of the most prestigious and hardest schools to get into. Founded in 1946, SNU has three campuses: Gwanak Main Campus, Yeongeon Medical Campus, and Pyeongchang Campus. As of 2019, it has ranked 11th in the QS Asia University Rankings and 37th in the world.
