Kim Bum, AKA one of the OG oppas of K-dramas, finally gets discharged from the military. His management company King Kong By Starship officially announced the actor’s completion of his mandatory service on March 13, as cited by Soompi.
"Kim Bum completed his military service as a public service worker earlier this morning."
The actor, known for his breakout role as a part of the F4 from 2009’s Boys Over Flowers, enlisted for service in April 2018. Due to health reasons, however, he served as a public service worker after completing the mandatory basic training. According to his management, Kim Bum has been dealing with a hereditary illness since his early twenties and has been receiving continuous treatment because of it.
He is currently in talks to return in the limelight soon with the tvN fantasy The Tale Of Gumiho (tentative title) which will also star actress Jo Bo Ah and another favorite K-drama leading man Lee Dong Wook.
His past works include Mrs. Cop 2 (2016), Hidden Identity (2015), and V Love (2014).
