1. Park Hae Jin (Cheese In The Trap, 2016)

What's his role in the drama? Cheese In The Trap is a webtoon-turned-drama and stars Park Jae Hin as the deceptively charming university senior Yoo Jung. Although seemingly perfect on the outside, he preys on unsuspecting women on campus to work his manipulation on them. When hardworking student Hong Seol (Kim Go Eun) crosses paths with him, she becomes his next targetbut what for exactly?

What's he up to now? Park Hae Jin gained international recognition post-Cheese In The Trap and starred in the Chinese drama Far Away Love shortly after. But his work in Cheese In The Trap was truly memorable because he reprised his role as Yoo Jung in the 2018 movie version of the drama. In 2020 alone, Hae Jin already has two drama titles under his belt: Forest and Kkondae Intern (which is still ongoing).

2. Gong Yoo (Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely And Great God, 2016)

What's his role in the drama? This drama needs no introduction because it secured the spot as the highest-rated tvN drama in South Korea at that time. In Goblin, Gong Yoo is Kim Shin, a general from the Goryeo dynasty who is cursed to live the rest of his life as an immortal being. The only way for him to be freed is when he finds his "bride," a woman who can pull the cursed sword from his chest. It takes him over 900 years to find her and she happens to be a naïve and bubbly high school student named Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun).

What's he up to now? Gong Yoo's work in Goblin was a career-defining moment for him because it catapulted him to international superstardom. However, he remained to keep a low-profile and only starred in one film post-Goblin, Kim Ji-Young: Born 1982 in 2019. He's set to star in two upcoming movies, Seo Bok and Wonderland, and will make his small-screen comeback in the Netflix Original series The Sea Of Silence, co-starring Bae Doona.

3. Lee Min Ho (The King: Eternal Monarch, 2020)

What's his role in the drama? The epic fantasy-slash-sci-fi drama is about two parallel worlds: the Kingdom of Corea and the Republic of Korea. Lee Min Ho stars as Emperor Lee Gon who makes it his life's mission to seek the truth behind his tragic past. In the process, he is able to cross worlds and meets a figure he's been searching for for 25 years: Detective Tae Eul (Kim Go Eun) of the Republic of Korea.

What's he up to now? The King: Eternal Monarch, which secured the number one spot as the most-watched Netflix title in several countries, just recently wrapped up. But prior to the drama, Lee Min Ho served his mandatory military service from 2017 to 2019. The last drama he starred in before his enlistment was another fantasy drama, The Legend Of The Blue Sea, opposite Jun Ji Hyun.
