Ji Soo To Join Kim So Hyun And Kang Ha Neul In New Historical Drama

The actress is indeed a favorite when it comes to this genre!

Here's another thing to look forward to this 2021: Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo are confirmed as the main lead in the upcoming historical drama, River Where The Moon Rises with Kang Ha Neul making a special appearance!


The 21-year-old actress will take the role of Yeom Ga Jin aka Princess Pyeonggang, a determined lady who aspires to be the leader of Goguryeo. She meets On Dal, played by Ji Soo, a guy who is willing to do anything for her. While Ga Jin is focused on using On Dal to her advantage, things started to change with the emotions she discovered.

Meanwhile, award-winning actor Kang Ha Neul, who previously turned down the lead role of On Dal, will appear as On Dal’s father, General On Hyeop. Last month, Ha Neul and  Son Ye Jin were in talks to lead in the K-drama, which was formerly entitled Cut By The Heart.

Kim So Hyun debuted as a child actress in 2006, and was recognized for her dramas including Moon Embracing The Sun, Missing You, Love Alarm, and The Tale Of Nokdu to name a few. Love Alarm, which is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and was aired on Netflix last year, is set for a second season.


Ji Soo has starred in the series Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart RyeoStrong Woman Do Bong Soon, and My First, First Love to name a few. He just recently wrapped his drama with actress Im Soo Hyang, titled When I Was The Most Beautiful

Kang Ha Neul was recently awarded as Best Actor in the 56th Baeksang Art Awards for his impressive role in the drama When The Camellia Blooms. Currently, Ha Neul is busy filming The Pirates 2: The Goblin Flag, and will also make a guest appearance in the Park Seo Joon and IU-led movie, Dream.
