We still can't get over meeting heartthrob Kim Soo Hyun in person, so we're here to tell you how it all went down. The K-drama actor arrived in Manila on July 9 to attend his very own fanmeet, but first he made an appearance at a media press conference as Bench's newest global ambassador, aka #Benchsetter.

Soo Hyun was so sweet during the press con, always smiling and ready to respond to questions with a witty comment. Even host Sam Oh couldn't resist his charms—she played the role of translator several times because she was too excited to share his answer with everyone, to the amusement of the *actual* onstage translator, LOL!

The It's Okay to Not Be Okay actor shared with Cosmo that he's tried several Filipino foods on his trips (yes, plural!) to the Philippines, but on the top of his list are the local fruits. On July 9, the day of the press con, he also tried a local fast food chain's burger/pasta/chicken set. Sounds ~delish~!

To balance things out, we also asked Soo Hyun about what he liked to do in his free time. Fans of the actor know of his passion for bowling—if you haven't seen it yet, check out his Infinite Challenge episode—so it came to no surprise that the sport was the first hobby he mentioned. Aside from bowling, "[because of the season in Korea] I am cycling and I started playing golf." Considering he's been sharing cycling pics on his Insta as far back as December 2020, he's definitely a true sportsman! (Still waiting on that golf pic, though).

Did you get to attend his fanmeet? We hope Kim Soo Hyun returns to the Philippines soon—and this time for vacation!
