Get ready for the *biggest* night in the Hallyu world! The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards—aka South Korea's version of the Oscars—will happen on May 6 at 6:45 p.m via JTBC. The highly-anticipated event will recognize the best of the best in dramas, movies, variety shows, and theater productions that were released from April 12, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
Aside from the nominees, a lot of your favorite Korean celebs are attending the Baeksang Arts Awards which includes the big winners from the ceremony last year. First on the list are the Daesang (Grand Prize) recipients Yoo Jae Suk and Book Of Fish director Lee Joon Ik who will be presenting this year's Daesang awards. Shin Ha Kyun, Kim So Yeon, Yoo Ah In, Jeon Jong Seo, Oh Jung Se, Yeom Hye Ran, Park Jung Min, Kim Sun Young, Lee Seung Gi, Jang Do Yeon, Choi Soon Jin, Lee Bong Ryeon, Lee Do Hyun, and Park Ju Hyun are among the Korean stars who will be the presenters.
The actors from this year's dramas, movies, and TV shows (who might just be nominated next year) are also set to present at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards. They are Island's Cha Eun Woo and Lee Da Hae, Insider's Kang Ha Neul and Lee Yoo Young, The Fabulous' Choi Minho and Chae Soo Bin, Cleaning Up's Yum Jung Ah, Unexpected Business 2's Kim Woo Bin and Lee Kwang Soo, and Special Delivery's Moon So Ri and Go Soo. Park So Dam, who is currently recovering after being diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer, will also attend the event.
The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards will also mark Park Bo Gum's ~comeback~ from the military! He will be hosting the ceremony along with Bae Suzy and Shin Dong Yup, who will be the emcees for the seventh and eighth consecutive time, respectively.
