It's always nice to see our favorite Korean stars find their one true love and it's even more heartwarming to know that they've already tied the knot. Some of them met their significant other while filming a project while others had to give up their relationship first before they said "I do."
Here's a list of Korean celebrities who recently got married:
1. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin
The world stopped on March 31, 2022 when Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin held a garden wedding at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul—the five-star hotel where other Korean celeb couples like Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young also exchanged vows. BinJin made everyone kilig when they led the hit drama Crash Landing On You (Fun fact: They starred in the movie The Negotiation before this!) and it was a dream come true to see them end up with each other IRL.
Hyun Bin and Ye Jin's wedding was attended by their celebrity friends, including the actress' Thirty-Nine co-star Jeon Mi Do who cried so much on their special day. Ye Jin's BFF Gong Hyo Jin was also present and she even caught her bouquet (ICYDK, Hyo Jin is in a relationship with Korean-American singer Kevin Oh)! What made us emotional was when Gummy sang "Give You My Heart" by IU, the OST from CLOY. Huhu.
Here's an update on them because we know you'll love it: The couple has already returned to South Korea after their honeymoon in Los Angeles, California!
2. Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon
Did you know that Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon have already worked together before they got hitched? In 2012, the two made a hilarious cameo in the series The King Of Drama. By 2017, they were both students at Chung Ang University (this is also when the dating rumors started) and the following year, Shin Hye and Tae Joon went public with their relationship. They tied the knot on January 23, 2022 at the Oryun Community Church in Seoul, and their wedding motif is flowers and foliage.
Shin Hye and Tae Joon's marriage ceremony was also one star-studded event with the multiple celebs who attended including Yoo Yeon Seok, Kim Bum, Lee Dong Hwi, Lee Sun Bin, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Namgoong Min, to name a few. Shin Hye's bestie and You're Beautiful co-star Lee Hong Ki serenaded the couple with The Heirs OST "I'm Saying," while Crush and EXO's D.O. sang "Beautiful" from Goblin. Another celeb who was present is Lee Min Ho and before the ceremony, he shared the invitation he received from Shin Hye who addressed him as Kim Tan (his character in The Heirs). Aww!
As of present, Shin Hye and Tae Joon are expecting a baby boy as seen on Uhm Ji Won's vlog, yay!
3. DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu
Barbie Hsu of Meteor Garden fame may be Taiwanese but we'd like to include her love story with Korean singer Goo Jun Yeop who's also known as DJ Koo! Once upon a time—specifically in 1997—the two met each other in a concert in Taiwan and they soon dated secretly. However, they decided to break up. Barbie then married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and became a mom to two kids. A decade after, they filed for divorce.
When he discovered Barbie's new relationship status, DJ Koo called her with the same mobile number he had from 20 years ago (!!) and figured out that he doesn't want to waste time. The actress said yes when he proposed and they registered their marriage in March 2022. Barbie and DJ Koo now have their happy ever after and are now living together.
