Plenty of Hallyu fans in the Philippines dream of one day visiting South Korea. But similarly, the Philippines is also a favorite travel destination for foreigners, and you might be surprised to know that some South Korean shows have brought famous Korean personalities to our country to film their shows. Below, we list down four Hallyu shows that chose the Pearl of the Orient Seas as one of their filming spots.

1. The Fugitive: Plan B

The Fugitive: Plan B features Hallyu star Rain as a Korean private investigator who was framed for the death of his best friend. In the first episode, Rain's character is in a scenic location with Greek-style pillars. The scene was actually shot at a resort called Fortune Island in Nasugbu, Batangas.  

2. Law Of The Jungle

Law Of The Jungle is a variety show where Korean stars fly to secluded islands around the world and try to survive in nature. The last few episodes of the reality show that aired from February to June 2020 were shot in Coron, Palawan and feature various Korean celebrities and K-pop idols like EXID's Hani and LovelyzYein.

3. Forest

Forest is a K-drama that first aired in January 2020 and it's about two characters who meet in a ~mysterious~ forest, where they gradually uncover their connection with one another in the past. The filming of the show was done in 2019, with majority of it shot in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The cast and production team of the drama also flew to the Philippines to shoot some scenes at Okada Manila, SM Mall of Asia, and Intramuros. Local personality Grace Lee, who also served as a co-producer of the drama, even got to make a cameo on the show.

4. Cabin Crew

Cabin Crew is a reality show where Korean personalities switch careers from being celebrities to flight attendants. Its first season featuring Shin Hyun Joon, Hwang Je Seong, Girl's Day's Yura, DIA's Ki Hui Hyeon, and 2AM's Jeong Jin Woon was shot in Boracay while its second season sees Song Yunhyeong from K-pop group iKON, SechsKies member Eun Ji Won, and singer UEE as Cebu Pacific flight attendants.
