Kris Bernal Reveals Her Wedding Date Got Moved *Several* Times

In her latest vlog, Kris Bernal opened up about the stress of planning a wedding and having to move dates several times.

The actress, who's set to marry Perry Choi, revealed that their original wedding date was set for May 15, 2021. "We chose May because it's also my birth month," Kris shared. Unfortunately, the church that they were eyeing wasn't available on their chosen date so they moved the wedding to June 5, 2021.

However, due to the surge of COVID cases in April, Kris and Perry decided to move their wedding date once more. She said, "Ang hirap. Andoon na yung puso at isipan ko na andoon na yung mindset ko sa June 5, 2021, ikakasal ako. But then nga, of course, we had to move it again."

Following consultation with their family and relatives, the couple chose to move their wedding date to July. However, due to the unavailability of their suppliers, they decided to move the date yet again, and of course, August is not an option because it's Ghost Month.

"Nung June 5, I was crying so hard that day and also crying so hard when I had to move it," Kris recalled. "I mean, when I finally announced it to my suppliers and family that we were moving it, iyak talaga ako ng iyak noon. And then hirap na hirap ako i-announce."

Kris then shares a video taken on April 11 where she was crying while on a call with Perry as her fiance comforted her. Kris said in the video clip, "I mean, moving the date and everything, I hope it's going to be worth it. I hope September will be better."

Settling for a September 2021 wedding date with the availability of Kris' wedding suppliers, the actress said that the only thing that wasn't available was the church. She did reveal that a couple backed out and there was an available slot at Magallanes Church. She said,"Dream wedding ko talaga na grand entrance and babagalan ko yung lakad ko."

Kris revealed that she's set to marry Perry on September 25, but there still a possibility of moving the date due to the ongoing pandemic. She said, "Baka kasi iniisip niyo, 'Bakit parang hindi pa kayo magpakasal, pwede naman na simple lang?' Sa amin kasi ni Perry, we really want to invite our relatives, wala akong masyadong invited na celebrity friends because limited lang yung capacity na puwedeng i-occupy."

The actress also laid out her other options: Stick to the original date but change the reception venue, civil wedding with family and reception at home, or move the wedding to next year if COVID cases will not go down.

Kris also revealed that she wants everyone to get to experience her wedding, so the actress announced that the wedding will be live-streamed via her YouTube channel.
