Kris Bernal and Perry Choi are getting married real soon! With just a few days to go before #PerryTaleNiKris on September 25, the Pinay actress recently uploaded a vlog on her YouTube channel and talked about the story of her wedding gown.
In the video, Kris took us through the times she visited fashion designer Mak Tumang and shared how they worked together to come up with bridal gown designs. She actually admitted that several of her designer friends in the industry even offered to sponsor her bridal gown and the dresses of her entourage. But in the end, after much research, she chose Mak Tumang because of his very detailed and unique creations. "Dream ko talaga siyang designer na gumawa ng bridal gown ko," she said.
Her first appointment with Mak Tumang was on January 31, earlier this year. She was accompanied by Charisse Tinio, her kumare and the woman behind Nice Print Photography. During that time, Mak took Kris' measurements and discussed initial, sample designs given the bride-to-be's preferences.
Fun fact: Kris Bernal's waistline measures 23 inches!
Prior to her meeting with Mak, Kris mentioned that she wants either a serpentina or a ball gown. On February 14, the date of her second appointment, she was able to try on the two different skirt options Mak prepared for her.
The first option was the serpentina. Kris commented, "Nagustuhan ko siya kasi it's very simple, and at the same time parang ang lakas lakas ng dating. And sabi nga sa'kin ni Mak, it's not the usual type of wedding gown skirt kasi usually nga ang pinipili talaga ng mga brides yung ball gown type."
As for the second option, the ball gown skirt, Kris shared that she was ~amazed~ by the design. "Nung sinuot ko yung pettycoat, nung nabuo siya kanina, parang na-feel ko na princess ako. Iba rin, iba yung feeling," she added.
Kris didn't actually reveal which option she went with, but we're definitely looking forward to seeing her *final* wedding gown on the big day!
