Actress and singer Kristel Fulgar recently took to TikTok to debunk a netizen's comment that claimed Yohan Kim (aka "Big Boss") is only using her for his business. ICYDK, Kristel is the newest ambassador of Face Republic, the skincare brand of which he is the CEO.
In the comment, the netizen wrote: "Parang ginagamit lang ni guy si Kristel to promote his beauty products, eh. Lalo na now na si girl ang newest face ng Face Republic."

The 26-year-old actress and singer responded by confirming that she is indeed the newest face of the brand. She also took the opportunity to be grateful for the chance given to her. "I'm very thankful for this opportunity and for the trust that has been given to me, to this project," she said.
She denied that Yohan was "using" her for his brand and even divulged that she was well-paid for this opportunity. "[This is] a job that is well-compensated. So let's not use the word 'ginagamit' kasi it's not good."
Instead, Kristel noted that the best term to use is "support" because they love supporting and encouraging each other. "We help each other grow bigger and reach for our dreams," she shared.
She ended her video response by reminding everyone that they don't really know what happens behind the scenes. "You can't see everything in social media," she noted.
Kristel and Yohan first met in October 2018 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport while on their way to South Korea. Since Yohan is the CEO of said skincare brand and Kristel was one of the influencers invited to its event in Nami Island, they got to spend some time with each other. Since then, the internet has been ~shipping~ the two, especially since they would occasionally make an appearance on each other's Instagram feeds.
