In an interview with Nelson Canlas on his Spotify podcast Updated With Nelson Canlas on May 26, Kylie talked about her present relationship with Aljur, noting, "We're friends, we're good na. Surprisingly, okay na in a year."
The actress added, "Good things take time. Ako kasi, gusto ko good na kami kaagad. Ayoko kasi na may negative emotions. Ayoko na may dala akong galit or grief, nakakapagod kasi 'yon."
Kylie said that in time, her relationship with Aljur post-breakup just naturally evolved and it's something that didn't happen overnight.
Kylie said that every time she was asked about Aljur, she said that she just wants him to be happy. She added, "Kasi alam mo, kasama ko siya, we lived a life together. I never want to see him as sad as he was when we were married."
Kylie said that in the beginning, it was a happy marriage with Aljur. She said, "It sucks kasi mahal na mahal mo yung tao but you know that feeling where hindi mo siya mapasaya at hindi ka rin niya mapasaya? So, parang may question ka sa utak mo na, 'Ano ba yung ginagawa kong mali? Ano ba yung ginagawa niyang mali?'"
Nelson observed that she and Aljuar are "good people" but it just didn't work out and Kylie agreed. She added, "And maybe we're not for each other. Doon pumapasok yung sana, gusto ko maging masaya siya. Kasi 'yon din yung wish niya for me, e. I don't ever want us to ever feel like how we made each other feel."
"'Yon nga nakakalungkot, hindi na buo ang pamilya namin, but kung ang kapalit no'n is we take care of our kids better kasi we're happier,” Kylie said.
Kylie also revealed that she received plenty of tips and advice regarding her split but none of them worked. She said, "Yung sa akin siguro, just trust the process. If you feel a certain way for the day, feel it, but don't dwell on it kasi lahat naman will pass, e."
"Just keep the hope na matatapos din 'to, magiging okay din ako," she continued. "'Yun ang importante doon. Tsaka, hindi ka nag-iisa, madaming nagmamahal sa'yo and maraming sumusuporta sa'yo. You have to find your 'why' and your purpose, and you keep going."
