On Instagram, Laura shared photos of her civil wedding ceremony and shared, “Quietly got married earlier this year. And now, I want to spend the rest of my life making you as happy as you make me.”
The former beauty queen added, “This was the best day of my life and I will elope with you any time, any place… Even in a small room behind city hall.”
Laura, who is a former UAAP Courtside Reporter, also revealed in her post, “Thanks for making me ligaw while I reported on your games.”
Meanwhile, Von wrote in an Instagram post that they decided to keep the marriage to themselves for a while. He added, “The thing is, when you are with someone who shared the same vision and passion for success as yourself, matters such as marriage simply become more of a legality than a drastic lifestyle change.”
“Having you in my life has been nothing short of perfection. It’s honestly like playing with a great point guard; if I do my job well I know my team will win. I will love you every day and always,” Von wrote.
Vania Edralin, one of the only two witnesses at Laura and Von’s wedding, described the ceremony as “a simple and unforgettable day filled with so much love!”
Laura and Von have been in a relationship since 2014 and first met when they were students at the Ateneo De Manila University. The pair announced their engagement in May 2020.
