Actress Lee Se Young is one of our fave faces on the small screen nowadays. Did you know that she started out as a child actress? Now she has more than 20 K-dramas under her belt! You might have also seen her in the film Lovely Rivals way back in 2004 where she played one of the protagonists, a plucky fifth-grade student. She got nominated for Best New Actress at the Baeksang Arts Awards for her efforts. More than a decade later, she’s gone from a talented young actress to an in-demand leading lady. Soon, she’ll be back on-screen again as the foil to Lee Seung Gi's character in the drama Love According To The Law.

Se Young plays Min Hyo Won who comes from a wealthy family. She falls for Kang Tae Yang (Hyun Woo), a friend of seamstress Yeon Sil (Yeon Hee), and one of the workers at the tailor shop. Hyo Won pretends not to like Tae Yang, but she's so obvious she shouldn’t even have tried. Their cute relationship gives us butterflies!
2. Hit The Top (2017)
This show is part youth drama and part rom-com. It follows the hilarious journey of '90s idol Yoo Hyun Jae (Shi Yoon) who finds himself time traveling from 1993 to 2017 one day. He gets help from his former manager, Gwang Jae (Tae Hyun), who now runs a small entertainment agency of his own. He starts living with Ji Hoon (Min Jae), Gwang Jae's adoptive son who's secretly training to be an idol. Also living with them is smart and pretty Woo Seung (Se Young), Ji Hoon's crush.
3. A Korean Odyssey (2017)

Fantasy and romance combine in this modern retelling of the Chinese novel Journey To The West. Lee Seung Gi plays protagonist Son Oh Gong, the Monkey King, who gets imprisoned in the human world for angering the gods. He gets freed by Jin Seon Mi (Yeon Seo), a young girl who can see ghosts. She grows up to become a real estate CEO using her skill to banish ghosts from haunted apartments. When Seon Mi and Oh Gong cross paths again, they become bound to each other. Se Young plays Bu Ja, a zombie with no memory that she used to be an idol group trainee. She is one among a colorful cast of characters that surround Oh Gong.
4. The Crowned Clown (2019)

The Crowned Clown is a drama adaptation of the critically-acclaimed historical film Masquerade (2012), which starred veteran actor Lee Byung Hun. It revolves around King Yi Heon (Jin Goo) who's caught in the middle of political struggles and fears the threats to his life. To make sure he doesn’t get assassinated, he gets clown Ha Seon (Jin Goo), who looks exactly like him, to replace him on the throne. As Ha Seon gets into his role, things start changing for the better in Joseon. Along the way, he finds himself getting attracted to Queen Yoo So Woon (Se Young).
5. Doctor John (2019)
Doctor Cha Yo Han (aka Doctor John) is a genius anesthesiologist who gets imprisoned. After getting released, he’s back to working at a hospital. With him is resident Kang Si Young (Se Young) who's trying to get over the trauma of her own. She works with Doctor John to help patients suffering from all sorts of pain.
6. Memorist (2020)

In this crime fantasy, Dong Baek (Seung Ho) is a prolific detective with the ability to see a person's memories after touching them. He's known not to let go of a case until he catches the culprit. Han Sun Mi (Se Young) is the new superintendent at the Special Investigations HQ. She's the youngest person to ever get the position. The two work together to capture a serial killer. Both hide dark pasts.
7. Kairos (2020)
This underrated thriller is time travel done right! In it, icy business executive Kim Seo Jin (Sung Rok) gets his world turned upside-down when his daughter is kidnapped and his marriage to his pretty violinist wife (Gyu Ri) starts falling apart. Help comes from an unlikely place: He exchanges phone calls with Han Ae Ri (Se Young) who lives one month behind him. Can Ae Ri help him prevent the tragedies that will befall him?
8. The Red Sleeve (2021)
Who else is in it: Lee Junho, Kang Hoon
This historical drama made Se Young a household name, along with her partner, idol-turned-actor Lee Junho. It's an adaptation of the novel The Red Sleeve and tells the story of King Jeongjo (Junho) and his relationship with court lady Seong Deok Im (Se Young). Deok Im doesn't want to get trapped into living the life of a concubine, but when the King falls in love with her, does she have the power to stop him from doing so? The Red Sleeve won many awards and even got an episode extension due to its popularity. Se Young also got a Top Excellence Award at the MBC Drama Awards for her role.
