The 'Riverdale' Cast Group Chat Blew TF Up After Lili Reinhart And Cole Sprouse's Magazine Shoot

I'm imagining that a lot of *shocked face* emojis were involved.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse—formerly known as Sprousehart, RIP—recently ended their relationship, and it was literally the breakup heard around the freakin' world. While people began mourning the Riverdale-turned-IRL pairing, magazine coincidentally released a shiny new cover story with Sprousehart—TOGETHER!—just days after the breakup news broke. It was all very wild.

Even wilder? Both Lili and Cole responded to their cover shoot on Instagram. It was entirely too much for us to process, but it wasn't just us who had a hard time. As it turns out, the entire cast of Riverdale was freaking TF out too. Good to know!

Madelaine Petsch, who stars as Cheryl Blossom in Riverdale, chatted with Access Hollywood about how the cast reacted when the W story went live. "I knew they were shooting a cover of W. When the Riverdale cast saw what Lili and Cole posted, they all started freaking out in the group chat. Relatable! "With that caption, I [was] blown away. I loved it. We all got on the group text like, 'Oh my god! That was so cool!'" Madelaine said. "I love them. I don't even know how they come up with this stuff. I was so in awe of that moment."

There you have it: Madelaine and the rest of the Riverdale cast were all sh00k when Lili and Cole responded to the breakup rumors via mag cover. Now, on to more pressing questions, Madelaine—is Sprousehart getting back together, or what???
