From a movie about a girl who's allergic to WiFi to one with a guy who can't recognize faces at all, here's a quick look at all the romace films we loved this year: 

1. Mr. And Mrs. Cruz 

The Premise: Raffy (JC Santos) and Gela (Ryza Cenon) are both heartbroken and are trying to escape their repesctive lives. During their ~individual~ Palawan trips, they're mistaken for a married couple because they share the same last name. They find themselves sharing a room and spending their soul-searching vacation together.

2. My Perfect You 

The Premise: Burn (Gerald Anderson) proposes to his girlfriend, gets rejected, and loses his job. He runs away and stumbles upon a run-down resort owned by a bubbly girl named Abi (Pia Wurtzbach). 

3. Never Not Love You 

The Premise: Small town girl Joanne (Nadine Lustre) falls in love with a carefree graphic artist named Gio (James Reid). They're then faced with the challenges and decisions that could make or break their relationship.

4. Kasal 

The Premise: Lia (Bea Alonzo) is about to get married to Philip (Paulo Avelino), who's hot, rich, and comes from a prominent family of politicians. However, Wado (Derek Ramsay) comes back, Lia's (also hot) ex-boyfriend who cheated on her, and he'll do anything to get her back.

5. Sid And Aya (Not A Love Story)

The Premise: Sid (Dingdong Dantes) offers Aya (Anne Curtis), a girl he barely knows, an unusual job: To keep him company for a few hours every night—just to talk. It's a movie about two people trying not to fall in love. 

6. I Love You, Hater 

The Premise: Zoey (Julia Barretto) and Joko (Joshua Garcia) are competing for a coveted assistant position in the company of Sasha Imperial (Kris Aquino). There's one problem: The position is only open to women and gay men, and Joko, who is very much straight, needs to pretend that he's gay!

7. The Day After Valentine's

The Premise: Lani (Bela Padilla) and Kai (JC Santos) develop an unlikely friendship as they talk about their lives and he opens up about heartbreak. Lani tries to "fix" Kai and even accompanies him when he goes back to his family in Hawaii. 

8. Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi

The Premise: Norma (Sue Ramirez) discovers that she has electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome (EHS), which means she gets sick when there's WiFi or other signals around her. She goes to live with her grandmother in the province, where Leo (Jameson Blake) her boyfriend's brother, and who is secretly in love with her, sticks around and helps her cope with her illness.

9. The Hows Of Us

The Premise: Primo (Daniel Padilla) and George (Kathryn Bernardo) have big plans. She wants to be a doctor and he wants to be a famous musician. But when she gets into medical school and his band still fails to get their big break, George finally reaches her breaking point.

10. First Love 

The Premise: Charming Ali (Bea Alonzo) melts the heart of cold and serious Nick (Aga Muhlach) when they meet in Canada. However, it turns out that Ali lives like each day is her last because she actually has a grave heart condition. 

11. Through Night And Day

The Premise: Traveling as a couple puts Ben (Paolo Contis) and Jen's (Alessandra De Rossi) relationship to the test after they get engaged and take a trip to Iceland together. 

12. Kung Paano Siya Nawala

The Premise: Lio (JM De Guzman) literally can't recognize faces. Things become complicated when he meets a girl named Shana (Rhian Ramos), and after a few encounters, she helps him remember her and they fall in love.
