A Percy Jackson And The Olympians TV series is officially happening on Disney+, and we couldn't be more excited! The bestselling novels by Rick Riordan tell the story of Percy, a 12-year-old who discovers that he's actually the son of Poseidon—you know, the Greek god of the seas. Percy arrives at a camp for half-human + half-god kids like him, and embarks on several ~quests~. At present, the series is still in the early stages of development, but WE. CANNOT. CHILL.
ICYMI, Logan Lerman starred in two Percy Jackson movies: Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) and Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters (2013). In the films, Percy was already 17 years old. Alexandra Daddario played the role of Annabeth Chase, the daughter of Athena, and when the TV series announcement happened, fans immediately clamored for Percy and Alexandra to *return*—this time as Poseidon and Athena!
In a recent interview with Access Online, when asked about the possibility of being in the series, Logan said that he's open to anything. "I'm curious to see what's gonna happen with it. I'm just glad that Rick Riordan, the writer, is in control—it seems like he's in control or has a lot of say. I'm not sure how much say he had in the Fox productions that we did way back when, 10 years ago."
Logan added that he hoped the series would get *good scripts*. "You know, they mentioned an announcement but the truth is it's a whole process of development where you have to get, you know, good scripts together and get it greenlit by the network."
"I'd be curious to see how it comes along, and if there's a good role for me, and those things, and I'm right for it, you know of course I would consider."
Looking forward to this, Logan! In the meantime, here's a clip of Percy fighting a hydra:
