On June 25, Project 8 Projects released the poster of their upcoming series, Sleep With Me, showing Lovi Poe and Janine Gutierrez posing with their faces up close.
This new series written and directed by Samantha Lee follows the story of two women in an interabled relationship–a radio DJ who needs a wheelchair and a girl with a sleep disorder. The poster was revealed on Instagram just in time for the culmination of Pride Month.
“Feeling emotionally damaged restless and romantically deprived? Calling every sadghorl, sadboi, and accla! Sleep With Me is coming out this August, so don’t forget to be yourself with DJ Harry and Luna
Happy Pride,” wrote Project 8 Projects in the caption.
Lead stars Lovi Poe and Janine Gutierrez also took it to Instagram to promote their new series.
“"Gumawa tayo ng mundo na para sating dalawa lang" Sleep With Me coming soon on @iwanttfc. Written and directed by @givemesam. From @abscbn @dreamscapeph @project8projects,” wrote Janine on her Instagram post.
“Are you ready to sleep with Luna and Harry? Check out the poster reveal of #SleepWithMe! Film coming soon,” captioned Lovi.
Aside from Sleep With Me, writer and director Samantha Lee has also helmed a couple of LGBTQ+ films in the past. She is known for her advocacy for better representation of women and the LQBTQ+ community in local, Filipino films.
