Huge news today for Lovi Poe: It was just announced by Deadline that she'll be starring in her "biggest English-language movie role to date," in the film The Chelsea's Cowboy. The biopic tells the story of the rise and fall of gangster-turned-actor John Bindon, which will be played by Alex Pettyfer.

Lovi is cast as '70s It Girl and British Blues singer Dana Gillespie. According to Deadline, Dana "employed Bindon as security and also provided him with access to the high life, most notably the island of Mustique where he met Princess Margaret. The charismatic Gillespie was well known for her close personal ties to leading singers and actors. A recent biography notes that her lovers included David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Michael Caine, Jimmy Page, Keith Moon, and Sean Connery."

So, who else is part of the production? British actress, model, and socialite Poppy Delevigne is also in the lead cast. The Chelsea's Cowboy will be directed by Ben Cookson and is executive produced by Idris Elba and Victor Glynn. Yup, no biggie at all.

Lovi also shared the news on Instagram and wrote, "Aaaah….can't wait to start filming The Chelsea Cowboy in October [heart emoji]" She continued with, "Excited to be working with this amazing team of creatives," and tagged Alex, Poppy, and Idris in the post.
We're so excited for you, Lovi! Can't wait for this!
