Ever since the government started rolling out vaccinations for the A4 category, more celebrities are getting vaccinated against COVID-19, and the most recent one we *spotted* is Maine Mendoza! The actress, host, and singer got her first dose in Mandaluyong on July 21.
"Got my first dose! Thank you, MandaVax! Do your part and get vaccinated, friends!" Maine wrote on Instagram. In the photos she posted, Maine can be seen bracing herself and actually closing her eyes as she got vaccinated! Ever the comedienne, Maine even ~zoomed in~ and posted a close-up version of her reaction. Look at this honest-no-holds-barred pic:
Fans couldn't help but create memes from Maine's photo, captioning it with "Umiyak ka ba?" and "Takot yan?" Many of her fans on Twitter also confirmed that they are looking forward to getting vaccinated soon.

Filipino celebrities such as Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Maris Racal, Rico Blanco, Drew Arellano, Iya Villania, Jane Oineza, RK Bagatsing, and Kim Chiu have also shared photos after their vaccinations on social media.
As of June 21, 2021, eight million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the Philippines, according to Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. The country aims to achieve "population protection" by November 2021.
