Marco Gumabao and Anne Curtis share some pretty intimate scenes in their upcoming movie, Just A Stranger, based on the steamy trailer. On Tonight With Boy Abunda, Marco said it was “super nerve-racking” to shoot those scenes because, well, it’s Anne.
The actor was stoked to be chosen as Anne’s leading man in the movie, which is about two people cheating on their significant others. Anne plays Mae, a woman who’s having marital problems, while Marco plays Jericho, a much younger guy who has a girlfriend.
About their steamy scenes, Marco recalled Anne saying, “No, relax, don’t worry about me.” When he asked if she had any boundaries, he said Anne simply shrugged. “I didn’t know what that meant so parang mas lalo akong kinabahan. Pero siyempre knowing that she’s married and all, nandoon pa rin ang pagiging gentleman because lahat naman kayang idaan sa daya.”
Marco agreed with host Boy Abunda that actors may get affected by the scenes they film. “Definitely, that’s why it’s the actor’s responsibility to make sure you’re doing this as your character.”
“Bumusina ka ba kay Erwan [Heussaff]?” the host asked. Marco said Anne’s husband had read the script before he was cast and that Erwan was really supportive of Anne’s new project. Erwan wished him luck, too, at an after party before he was officially cast in the movie. “Nakakatuwa coming from him,” said Marco.
You’ll recall that Erwan had the funniest reaction to Anne and Marco’s “bed weather” photo for the movie. “I leave for one day and this happens???” Erwan also commented, “We can adopt him if you want.” Marco replied, “I have a lot of skills po! I know how to roll over and play dead! Plus, I won’t eat my treats until you say go. [dog emoji]”
Directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, Just A Stranger is set for release on August 21.
