Actress-singer Maris Racal admitted to bouts of insecurity about her body at a time when she was doing "bagets" roles on television.
This was revealed by the 24-year-old "Pumila Ka" singer in an exclusive interview on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in PEP.ph's live stream show PEP Live.
Or parang,... like, very low na word like, 'Ang tuyot mo na.' Alam mo yun?"
The comments did take a toll on her self-confidence, but through the years, Maris has learned to deal with negativity. And she has the perfect response to rude comments about anyone's body.
She told Jimpy, "[I'm like], 'Get a life! Alam mo?'
At the end of the day, ako lang nakakakilala sa sarili ko. And, I have my own goals sa body. I may look like this, but you don't know if I'm unhealthy inside so I'm fixing that."
Maris went on telling the body shamers and telling them to mind their business, "May sarili tayong goals so focus tayo sa sarili natin. And that applies to everyone who's watching din na focus on your own self when it comes to your body.
