Filipinos have witnessed some of the biggest international acts perform live in 2018.

It's a couple of weeks into the new year and more than 10 international acts have already confirmed that they will be performing in the Philippines.

Here's a roundup up of musicians taking centerstage during the first half of 2019:

JOSH GROBAN

When: February 22, 2019

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Details: American singer-songwriter Josh Groban will be returning to Manila after 12 years. On February 22, the 37-year-old Grammy nominee will be staging a post-Valentine concert for his Bridges Tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Josh's last visit to the Philippines was in 2007 for his Awake tour in Manila.

He has released eight studio albums since his eponymous debut album in 2001.

Josh is currently promoting his latest album Bridges, which contains the single "River" that was released on September 18. He is known for the songs "You Raise Me Up," "To Where You Are," and "The Prayer" with Celine Dion.

YEARS & YEARS 

When: February 25, 2019

Details: British electro-pop band Years & Years will be bringing its signature sound to Manila.

The synth-pop trio, composed of Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy, and Emre Türkmen, will rock the Manila concert scene with their The Palo Santo Tour produced by MMI Live.

This will be the band's first visit in Manila since their formation in 2010. The band is expected to perform their hits including "If You're Over Me," "King," "Shine," and "Eyes Shut."

KODALINE

When: February 26, 2019

Where: New Frontier Theater

Details: Irish rock band Kodaline will be returning onstage for their first ever solo concert in Manila made possible by MMI Live.

The band, composed of Steve Garrigan, Mark Prendergast, Vincent May, and Jason Boland, will be bringing their Politics Of Living Tour 2019 in the country and will perform their best-known songs such as "All I Want," "High Hopes," "Head Held High," and "The One."

This will the band's second show in Manila following their performance at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival in 2018.

MAROON 5 

When: March 5, 2019

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Details: Grammy Award-winning rock band Maroon 5 will be returning to Manila for the fifth time as part of the Red Pills Blues tour produced by MMI Live.

The band, composed of Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, PJ Morton, Matt Flynn, Sam Farrar, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick, will rock the stage with their latest hits titled "Don't Wanna Know," "What Lovers Do, and "Girls Like You."

Maroon 5 is set to start the Asian leg of their tour in February. Aside from the Philippines, the American band also has stops in South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand. The band last performed in the country in September 2015, for their V Tour.

WANDERLAND 2019

When: March 9 and 10, 2019

Where: Filinvest City Event Grounds, Alabang

Details: Wanderland is back for its seventh edition and this time, Karpos Multimedia made the festival bigger. Over 17 acts will be performing at Wanderland's magic-themed two-day event happening on March 9 and 10 at the Filinvest City Event Grounds, Muntinlupa City.

British bands, Two Door Cinema Club and The Kooks, are headlining this year's edition of the music festival. Other artists from the UK that are coming to perform for Wanderland include Honne and SG Lewis.

American acts Masego, JMSNAlina Baraz, Clairo, and Mac Ayres are also included on the lineup. OPM music is represented by Sandwich, UNIQUE, Clara BeninReese LansanganDayaw, and Autotelic. Singapore's Charlie Lim and South Korea's Adoy will also be rocking the stage with their hits.

Ticket prices: P7,000+ (Regular Wanderer Weekend passes) and P10,000 (Star Wanderer Weekend passes).

RITA ORA

When: March 10, 2019

Where: New Frontier Theater

Details: British singer-songwriter Rita Ora will be staging her first concert in the country on March 10 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

The 28-year-old former America's Next Top Model host will be performing her hits including "I Will Never Let You Down," "Girls," and "Let You Love Me," among many others for her Phoenix tour.

Presented by Wilbros Live, her Manila concert is also the first show of the Asian leg of her tour. Aside from the Philippines, Rita also has stops in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan.

ANDY BROWN

When: March 30, 2019

Where: SM Skydome in SM City North Edsa 

Details: Andy Brown, former frontman of British boy band Lawson, will be staging his first solo show on March 30 at the SM Skydome, SM City North Edsa, Quezon City. 

This will be Andy's third time to visit the country as he previously performed for his Filipino fans in 2013 and 2015. Some of the songs he and his former bandmates made popular include "When She Was Mine," "Taking Over Me," and "Juliet."

The 30-year-old singer is currently promoting his latest album Cedarmont which was released in December 2018.

TROYE SIVAN

When: May 1, 2019

Where: SM Mall of Asia Arena

Details: Singer, songwriter, and actor Troye Sivan is set to return to Manila and this time, he'll be performing for his Filipino fans

Troye is taking his Bloom concert tour with him at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 1, Wednesday.

He is expected to perform his chart-topping hits including "Youth," "My My My!," "There For You," "Fools," and "Dance To This" at his Manila concert produced by MMI Live.

Troye started as a YouTube vlogger before he finally pursued his music career with the launch of his debut album Blue Neighborhood in 2015. In August 2018, he released his second studio album titled Bloom.

The 23-year-old South African-born Australian singer first visited the country on June 27, 2017, for a campaign shoot with local clothing line SM Youth.

LAUV 

When: May 20 and 21, 2019

Where: Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and Waterfront Hotel in Cebu

Details: American singer-songwriter Ari Staprans Leff, more popularly known as Lauv, will be performing in the Philippines for the third time.

He will be staging his first solo show presented by Ovation Productions. The alternative-pop artist is set to rock the stage at the Araneta Coliseum on May 20. This will be followed by another show in Cebu happening on May 21.

Lauv is best known for his LSS-inducing songs "I Like Me Better," "Paris In The Rain," "Easy Love," "Chasing Fire," "Getting Over You," and "There's No Way."

He first visited the country for a series of mall shows in 2017. He was also included in the line-up of Wanderland Music and Arts Festival last year.

He is currently promoting his sophomore album, I Met You When I Was 18, which was released in May 2018.
