Actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder Maxine Medina recently took a diving trip to the Tubbataha Reefs to face her greatest fear: Sharks.
In her Instagram post on May 1, Maxine shared that she came face-to-face with a whitetip shark and declared that she’s no longer afraid of the animal.
Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, the Tubbataha Reefs in Palawan is a protected area that is home to a high density of marine species and pristine coral reefs.
Apart from sharks, Maxine also saw a marbled stingray, a school of jackfish, and a whale shark during her diving trip.
