Michelle Dee Clinches A Spot In The Miss World 2019 Top 40

Michelle also caught up with Miss World 2013 Megan Young!

The Philippine representative to Miss World 2019 Michelle Dee is one step closer to the crown!

On December 11, Michelle was victorious as one of the winners in the final round of the “Head-to-Head Challenge”, securing a spot in the Top 40 of the Miss World pageant.

Other winners include Moldova, Nepal, Venezuela, Nigeria, Mexico, Guyana, India, Trinidad and Tobago, and Paraguay.

On Instagram, Michelle wrote, “It’s been such a proud moment for us today mga kababayan as we’ve officially secured a spot in the Top 40 through the ‘Head-to-Head Challenge!”

According to ABS-CBN News, the “Head-to-Head” challenge is a platform where candidates are asked to talk about their respective advocacies.

Apart from securing a spot in the Top 40, Michelle also shared that her Beauty With A Purpose project made it to the Final 20 where her advocacy is for autism awareness.

Michelle, who is currently in London, also reunited with Miss World 2013 titleholder Megan Young during the Beauty with a Purpose Charity Dinner.

Michelle, who is the daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, was crowned Miss World Philippines in September 2019. Miss World will air on December 14 on GMA-7.
