- The "Midnight Sky" singer also described her mentality after she goes through a breakup.
Hot off her MTV VMA's "Midnight Sky" slash
wrecking disco ball performance, Miley Cyrus sat down with controversial podcast host Joe Rogan and covered a lot of ground during their two-hour convo. Throughout the show, Miley opened up about not being vegan anymore, being overworked as a child star, and undergoing surgery for "people that talk way too fucking much" last year. And perhaps most interestingly for those who closely follow her relationships, Miley got candid about her divorce from Liam Hemsworth and her philosophy when she breaks up with someone.
After admitting she sometimes feels "too tough," Miley said she worries about how she can get over things easily, even when it's healthy. Talking about her 2019 divorce, she added:
"I recently just went through a very public divorce that fucking sucked. What really sucked about it wasn't the fact that me and someone that I loved realized that we didn't love each other the way that we used to anymore. I can accept that. I can't accept the villainizing and all those stories. It's just amazing to me that the public kind of thinks that there's no gap of time that they didn't see that could possibly be what led to this. 'One day you were happy on the carpet and the next day you were making out with your friend in Italy! What the fuck?' Well, there was a lot of time between that that you didn't see...I didn't, you know."
Miley later went on to say that when she's done with a relationship, she doesn't look back. Sometimes that makes her look like a "cold fucking bitch" to some, but that's just the way she is. "I'm really into a lot of freaky things, but I don’t fuck dead guys," she joked. "When it’s over, it’s over, and you’re dead to me, and I move on."
As for her dating life right now, Miley said she has one non-negotiable that stems from what she learned during her relationship with Liam: "You better know what you want because I'm just not interested in taking another 10 years like did with my first love to figure that out."
