The 20-year-old singer, who confirmed the end of her engagement to actor Liam Hemsworth on Monday, September 16, struggled to contain her emotions as she performed her latest single "Wrecking Ball" at the star-studded event.

The petite star got choked up while singing the final lines of the song, "Don't you ever say I just walked away, I will always want you," on stage in Las Vegas, according to the MailOnline website.

Miley's ex-fiance moved the last of his belongings out of her house in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, on Friday, September 20.

The former couple got engaged in May 2012 after meeting on the set of 2010 movie "The Last Song," but their relationship has been on rocky ground over the last year.

The Hunger Games star, 23, has found comfort in the arms of Mexican actress-and-singer Eiza Gonzalez, whom he was spotted passionately kissing earlier this week.[nextpage]

The pair hit it off after meeting at XS nightclub in Las Vegas last Saturday, September 13, where Liam was partying with a group of male friends.
