Yup, the Miss Universe Philippines competition is really coming to our small screens! We know you have tons of Qs, so here's a quick guide to the upcoming show:

What is it, exactly?

Ring Light is an online series that will take us behind-the-scenes of the beauty pageant world. It follows 50 aspiring Miss Universe Philippines candidates and is composed of eight episodes, including five learning episodes, a "challenge" episode, the swimsuit and gown competition, and the grand finale.

According to a press release from Miss Universe PH, Ring Light is "the first of its kind in the world as it gives pageant fans a closer look at what it truly takes to become a beauty queen. From rigorous training to fascinating challenges and fun, behind-the-scenes activities, Ring Light proves that there's more to beauty than meets the eye."

How—and when—can I watch Ring Light?

The series will be available for streaming on www.empire.ph for a one-time fee of P299. But, you can avail of the early bird promo if you subscribe any time from July 22 to August 31 for only P249. The series will premiere on September 27, and will culminate on the main pageant night on October 25, which will be aired on national TV!

Why should I watch it?

Aside from getting to see the contestants' journeys, get this: Ring Light is also a fundraising initiative for displaced workers greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the organization, "a portion of each subscription will go to a personal beneficiary specially chosen by Miss Universe Philippines candidates as well as partner organizations."
