It's probably every girl's dream to have a song written about her—and for her—and OPM artist Moira Dela Torre just happens to be married to fellow singer-songwriter Jason Marvin Hernandez. Jason just released a new track for Moira called "EDSA," and if you're thinking that it's about the horrible/dreadful/stressful traffic sitch...well, not exactly.
The song's full title is actually "Emosyong Dinaan Sa Awit," and in a Facebook post, Moira shared: "He wrote this for me while he was stuck [in] EDSA remembering how I often feel stuck when depression hits. May it serve as a reminder that you are loved even when you feel like a failure/even when you feel stuck." Moira added that there's going to be another version of the song, to be released soon!
Part of the track's chorus says: "Paano'ng lumaban kung suko ka na? Paano'ng umibig kung ayaw mo na? Ika'y nanatili sa aking tabi, at pinaalala mo sa'kin nandito ka pa rin." Aww, this song is giving us so much feels!
Listen to "EDSA" here:
In 2018, Jason released his first single "Tahan Na," which Moira describes as the song that makes her feel most loved. "I remember the night he wrote this. I wasn't okay...and nothing he tried to say or do to cheer me up seemed to work," Moira wrote on Instagram. "So he gave me my space and went [to] a corner and started writing. Minutes later, he tried to get my attention again and said 'Moi...I wrote you a song. May sagot na'ko sa mga kanta mo.' And that was the first time I heard 'Tahan Na.'" Grabe, sana all.
ICYMI, Moira and Jason got married in January 2019, where they shared their FIRST KISS EVER!
