Moon Ga Young's name might not be a household name yet, but I'm sure you've seen her face in a variety of K-dramas over the years. After all, the 24-year-old star started in the industry as a child actress for TV and film. Ga Young has honed her craft with her many acting credits under her belt, but it's only in recent years that she's crossed over to leading lady status. Right now, she's starring in her biggest drama to date, True Beauty, the tvN adaptation of the wildly popular webtoon of the same name.

In a recent interview with Vogue Korea, Ga Young opened up about the reason why she loves acting: "In acting, there's no right answer. The reason why I love books and dislike math is because math gives you an answer. With acting, my performance one day can be different from my performance the next day, and I have to keep thinking about it."

Yup, girl is every bit the rising star! We're sure you're curious about her previous dramas, so check out the five Moon Ga Young titles available for streaming on Netflix and Viu:

1. Mimi (2014)

Where to watch it: Viu

Moon Ga Young landed her first lead drama role in Mimi, alongside second-gen K-pop idolTVXQ's Changmin! The four-episode drama is a mix of mystery, horror, and romance with Ga Young playing the titular role of Mimi, the long lost first love of disillusioned webtoon writer Min Woo (Changmin).

2. Tempted/Great Seducer (2018)

Where to watch it: Netflix

In Tempted or The Great Seducer, Moon Ga Young stretched her acting chops by playing the cunning and seductive Choi Soo Ji. The 2018 drama is actually based on the 1782 French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. (Familiar with the 1999 film Cruel Intentions? Yup, it's based on the novel as well!) She co-starred alongside Woo Do Hwan and Red Velvet's Joy.

3. Welcome To Waikiki 2 (2019)

Where to watch it: Netflix, Viu

In 2019, Moon Ga Young crossed over to comedy and starred in the ensemble cast of Welcome To Waikiki 2. She played Han Soo Yeon, a young woman who has to find her way in life when her wedding suddenly gets called off. Soo Yeon also happens to be the first love of Kim Seon Ho's character Cha Woo Sik.

4. Find Me In Your Memory (2020)

Where to watch it: Viu

Earlier in 2020, Moon Ga Young landed the lead female role in Find Me In Your Memory, co-starring Lee Jung Hoon. The melodrama is about an anchorman with hyperthymesia, a condition that makes him remember almost every single moment of his life. Ga Yong plays a top actress who's secretly battling memory loss. Fun fact: Her Welcome To Waikiki 2 leading man, Kim Seon Ho, made a cameo in the drama.

5. True Beauty (2020)

Where to watch it: Viu

In True Beauty, Moon Ga Young is Im Ju Kyung, a bright and bubbly high school student who loves horror graphic novels. But because she was bullied for her looks since she was a kid, this caused her to have deep-seated insecurities. Through makeup, Ju Kyung was able to gain some confidence but it made her obsessively hide her ~real appearance~ from her friends. Problem is, there's one person who knows how she looks like with a bare face, and it's her deliriously handsome schoolmate Lee Suho, played by Cha Eun Woo
