1. Miss Fishers' Murder Mysteries 

The Honorable Phryne Fisher (Essie Davis) is rich, curious, and she carries a gun in her purse. She has a knack for solving crimes and becomes the unwelcome *partner* of Detective Inspector Jack Robinson (Nathan Page) in 1920s Australia. The tension and banter between Phryne and Jack is honestly THE BEST. It even has a movie spinoff, Miss Fisher And The Crypt Of Tears (2020).

2. Sherlock 

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories about Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his loyal friend and flatmate Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) are brought to life in this series, which aired from 2010 to 2017. Set in present-day London, the series follows the lives of the residents of 221B, their landlady Mrs. Hudson, their "clients," families, and romantic interests. The creators shared that a fifth season is possible, but due to the lead actors' conflicting schedules, nothing is set in stone yet!

Not gonna lie: The show's attractive cast is what got us hooked at first. Season 1 introduces us to the students of the prestigious Las Encinas high school in Spain, where a student has been murdered. All suspects, the characters are interrogated by the police one by one, and we are sucked into their world of parties, academic competitions, and family drama! Each season brings a new mysteryand in Season 3, a new murder.

4. Big Little Lies 

Based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty, this show follows the lives of three moms (Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley) who lead seemingly perfect lives. More than the murder mystery, which slowly unravels in each episode, the show tackles important issues such as domestic violence, divorce, and sexual assault. The second season brings us even more big stars, including Laura Dern and Meryl Streep

The series ran from 1989 to 2013 and had a total of 70 episodes! It stars David Suchet as Hercule Poirot, the peculiar and methodical Belgian detective from Agatha Christie's popular mystery novels.
