Nadine Lustre is on a roll! Following her FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and Young Critics Circle Film Desk wins, Nadine just won another Best Actress award. She was named Best Actress for Ulan in the Philippine category at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, which is part of the annual Singapore Media Festival.
Her Ulan co-star, Carlo Aquino, was named Best Actor. The romance drama also won Best Feature Film, Best Direction (Fiction), Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound.
In March, Nadine said she felt honored that director-writer Irene Villamor handpicked her for the role. "I guess ang pinaka-challenge for me dito ang makuha ko ng saktong-sakto ang character ni Maya. It's an old script at matagal na siyang inumpisahan ni Direk Irene, so kumbaga kilalang-kilala niya ang character. Siyempre para sa akin na napili niya, kailangang ma-perfect ko ang character."
Earlier this year, Nadine won Best Actress for Never Not Love You at the FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and Young Critics Circle Film Desk Awards.
