1 On October 12, 2017, Nadine Lustre wrote a heartfelt post about her struggle with depression in an Instagram post:
Depression is something she's struggled with for quite some time now. She shared, "I have days [when] I'm just sitting in the tub, asking myself a lot of questions, confused.. I felt like I was just looking [into] someone else's life through a window. Feeling bad ['cause] I am not enough and everything that I do and will do will never be enough."
She also revealed that she's had suicidal thoughts in the past: "Before you do something you will regret, think about all the great things that you can do in the future, people you will meet and places you travel to, the lives you will touch.
I almost did it before and I'm so thankful that I didn't do it, because If I did, I wouldn't be living the life that I have now."
Nadine followed this message with a birthday shout-out dedicated to her recently deceased brother, Isaiah:
She wrote, "I want to thank you for teaching everyone a very important lesson. Thank you for opening my eyes and making me braver. I know now that whatever challenge I will have to face, I will be able to pull through because of you. I'm gonna miss your face and miss hearing your corny jokes. I wish you stayed with us longer. I am keeping my promise, and we will still travel the world together. No more crying."
2 In an exclusive interview with PEP, Yen Santos revealed that she actually backed out of her project Because You Loved Me, which she was supposed to do with Gerald Anderson and Jake Cuenca.
Yen disclosed that it was because of her fear of the water, which would have been a problem because the character she was supposed to play was a triathlete: "Sa totoong buhay, hindi naman ako athletic. Wala akong sports kumbaga, 'di ba." She continued, "I tried. Nagtraining ako kasi siyempre, ang ganda noong project. But still, siguro talaga, may mga bagay na kailangan ng swimming. Sa bike, run, wala talaga magiging problem kasi kaya ko 'yun, eh. Kaso kasi, tubig ang number one na takot ako...Natakot ako talaga."
Eventually, ABS-CBN decided to pursue Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin with Kim Chiu as the lead actress.
