Nancy McDonie And James Reid Will Start Filming 'Soulmate Project' In February

Nancy McDonie and James Reid's much-awaited series, Soulmate Project, will be hitting our small screens very soon. In an interview with ABS-CBN, Nancy revealed that filming is scheduled to begin in February. 

She added: "I started doing workshops, we did workshops [when I was here before]...There are workshops planned with James in the future." 

Not much has been released to the public about the show's plot yet, but Nancy says her character will be "a Korean-American who lives in the Philippines." The 13-episode show which will be patterned after US + Korean dramas and will be partly set in Korea and the PH. It will be written and directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who previously worked with James in the film Never Not Love You (2018). 

Nancy, a member of K-pop girl group MOMOLAND, was announced as James' new leading lady during the press conference for Soulmate Project in October 2019.

At that time, fans started making up love team names for them, but James said in a tweet, "I'm honored to be part of the new project Soulmate on ABS-CBN but please guys, no love team names. I've already got one #JaDine," referring to his love team name with then-girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
