Neri Naig has offered to help newlyweds in Cebu who were reportedly scammed of their wedding reception.
The bride, Cherry Pie Satingasin, was filmed sobbing uncontrollably at the moment she found out their wedding reception venue had not been booked. She and her now-husband had paid P65,000 for the wedding package offered by their wedding coordinator. The video has since gone viral on social media.
"Bilang naging bride din ako, ang pinakaayaw natin ay ma-stress sa mismong kasal natin. Kahit lahat ng tao sa paligid natin, 'di tayo dapat binibigyan ng stress," Neri wrote in an IG post.
Neri asked netizens to help connect with her with the newlyweds so she can help arrange a wedding reception for them, free of cost.
"Sagot na rin po namin ang cake, may emcee ka na rin po para may program po ang reception niyo," added the former actress turned entrepreneur and wife to Parokya Ni Edgar frontman, Chito Miranda.
"Wala kayong gagastusin mag-asawa. Kami na bahala. May pa-pocket money kami sa inyo kahit papaano. 'Wag ka nang umiyak. Kami na bahala sa inyo."
Neri, later on, shared that the bride agreed to meet up with Neri's business partner to discuss the details of the reception. She shared a photo of the newlyweds at the proposed venue.
"Super excited na ako para sa mag-asawa, especially kay Cherry Pie. Deserve ng lahat ng kababaihan na maging mala-prinsesa sa kanyang kasal. Minsan lang 'to! Siyempre ang pinakamahalaga yung nagmamahalan sila ng kanyang kabiyak. Simple man ang reception o magarbo, ang importante ay kung ano ang laman ng kanilang mga puso."
