Here's Everything You Need To Know About The New Twisted Netflix Teen Drama 'The Society'

The dystopian teen nightmare of your DREAMS.

Want to know what would happen if the entire 13 Reasons Why clan was trapped in a ghost town without any adult supervision? Netflix's new teen series The Society, based on Lord Of The Flies, is basically your answer.

When the privileged teens of West Ham, Connecticut (not a real place, BTW), find themselves trapped in their town without their parents (or anyone else, for that matter) and literally nowhere to go, they must learn to survive on their own. Think Hannah Baker, Zach Dempsey, Clay Jensen, and Bryce Walker would get along just great? It doesn't go much better for the teens of The Society either.

Here's the full Netflix description:

"The Society follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town, left without any trace of their parents. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive. The series is a modern take on Lord Of The Flies."

But it's not your typical dystopian sci-fi drama either. Beyond the mystery, The Society is an unnerving look at how we treat each other when there are no laws (or, you know, doctors) to help us.

Intrigued? Well, it dropped on Netflix on Friday, May 10. Here's what you need to know:

PREMIERE DATE?!

I just told you! May 10, 2019!

But the full trailer, which dropped on April 29, reveals a lot more...

Here's an example of him being a jerk to Sam:

Trust me, he only gets worse.
