Bad news, world. To All the Boys I've Loved Before breakout star Noah Centineo may be starring in the newly released Swiped, a comedy about two college roommates on a mission to create the ultimate hookup app, but he isn't swiping right on anyone at the moment. "I don't participate," he tells me over the phone (he's on set filming one of his many other projects as we speak). "I would rather meet someone in real life."
But that doesn't mean you're going to be able to have your own meet-cute with the star anytime soon. Between his new dream project Valet, Charlie's Angels, and reprising his role as Jesus in The Fosters spinoff Good Trouble, bae has a lot on his plate. "[Dating] has been non-existent," admits the professional heartthrob in a phone interview earlier this week. "I'm working a lot. Keeping my head down and focusing and trying to take advantage of the opportunities that have come my way."
But maybe Centineo's reluctance has something to do with his former co-star Lana Condor? When I ask the actor how it feels to know people want him and his on-screen love interest to date IRL—Noah Centineo x Lana Condor is almost as beloved a ship as Peter Kavinsky x Lara Jean Covey—he laughs wholeheartedly. "It's all the same to me! I'm not upset about it," he says.
But then he continues, "I may propose to Lana later this year, who knows?" HOLD THE DAMN PHONE.
