Update Feb. 23, 12:48 p.m.: People reports Karlie Kloss is giving up her wings so that she can continue her education. Kloss plans to attend NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study this fall. Apparently, she got a killer letter of recommendation from none other than fellow model and NYU alum Christy Turlington Burns. The lingerie brand could not be more excited for Kloss. Victoria's Secret executive Ed Razek said in a recent statement that while she remains "one of the best models ever" Kloss has equally exciting opportunities ahead. "Her future is unlimited, and I am excited to see all the good she will do. Karlie Kloss will always be an Angel to me."
February 21, 4:33 p.m.: After four years with the brand, Karlie Kloss is leaving Victoria's Secret, E! News reports. At 22 years old, she is probably the youngest person ever to retire from anything. Don't hate!
Karlie has been a staple with the label since 2011 when she started walking in the annual show and appearing in ads. She officially became an angel in 2013, which is where she became BFFs with Taylor Swift, BTW. A celebrity power couple was born. It was a beautiful time!
But don't worry, Kloss's Victoria's Secret retirement isn't the end of her illustrious modeling career; she has spring campaigns with Kate Spade and Joe Fresh, and will be the face of L'Oreal Paris. Not too shabby!
