There are usually a few things you can expect to see go down at the Oscars each year. You know, like awkward reactions when celebrities don't win awards, long speeches being interrupted with the ominous get-off-the-stage music, and a bunch of dudes in plain ol' tuxedos. But this year...this year was different. The 92nd Academy Awards were much thirstier than most awards shows get, and I'm not mad about it at all.
Right off the bat, Brad Pitt set the thirst bar high by sticking his tongue out while delivering his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor. This very quick moment had the internet completely spiraling. I look forward to the T-shirts that will hopefully feature sketches of this moment on Etsy in the very near future.
Kelly Marie Tran referred to Keanu Reeves as "a man whose matrix we'd all like to reload," and I still do not think I have fully recovered.
Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig straight up sang "The Thong," which is a moment that was personally very important to me because it felt like it could be a deleted scene from Bridesmaids.
Brad Pitt and Regina King frolicked around the show holding hands like the leads in a delightful romantic comedy. This is definitely more heartwarming than thirsty, but it still feels worth mentioning because TBH, even the simple thought of these two in a room together is thirst trap material.
When talking about her Best Actress win from last year, Olivia Coleman said it was the "best night" of her husband's life. Of course, this comment is up for interpretation, but Twitter is running with it as a thirsty moment. For the sake of this list, I remain Team Thirst.
