What You Need To Know About Park Seo Joon's New Film: 'The Divine Fury'

As we all know, oppa Park Seo Joon's most recent projects include the Korean dramas Fight For My Way (2017) and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? (2018). We're sure PSJ fans have finished watching and rewatching them, including the 2015 drama She Was Pretty, and we're all ready for ~new~ Seo Joon content!

PSJ has a new project called The Divine Fury coming up and it's an action + supernatural film combined! Here are a few things you must know about his latest movie: 

Park Seo Joon's role is an MMA fighter + a priest ~in disguise~!

Park Seo Joon stars as a champion Mixed Martial Arts fighter named Yong Hoo who becomes filled with distrust and resentment after losing his father to an unfortunate accident at a young age. Fate somehow leads him to work with a Vatican priest to fight evil!

The film also stars Ahn Sung Ki and Woo Do Hwan. 

One of Korea's most respected actors, Ahn Sung Ki, has starred in over 100 films, including Unbowed (2011) and Revivre (2014). Woo Do Hwan's previous projects, on the other hand, include the Korean dramas Save Me (2017) and Mad Dog (2017). 

In The Divine Fury, Yong Hoo must team up with Father Ahn (Ahn Sung Ki), an exorcist from the Vatican, to fight evil forces that are trying to disrupt the world. Woo Do Hwan's character Ji Shin is introduced as the "Black Bishop," someone who sees through others' weaknesses and spreads evil.

Seo Joon doesn't seem to have a love interest in this film. 

The trailer doesn't hint at a romantic angle in the plot, but reports say that actress Kim Shi Eun will have a special appearance as a character named Theresa.

It will be released in Korean theaters by the end of July 2019! 

The film is directed by Kim Joo Hwan, who also worked with Seo Joon in the action comedy film Midnight Runners (2017). The cast began filming in August 2018 and wrapped up production on December 31, 2018.
