Get ready to scream because another horror film is getting ready to greet us! Barbara: Reimagined, which is based on a 1974 film called Patayin Mo Sa Sindak Si Barbara, tells the story of two sisters who end up falling for the same guy. Older sis Barbara gives way to ~spoiled~ Karen and leaves to start a new life on her own. Karen gets the guy, marries him, and eventually has a daughter with him. Years later, Barbara receives news that Karen has killed herself. She rushes to be with her niece and brother-in-law, but strange and scary things start happening to her!
Barbara: Reimagined stars Nathalie Hart, JC de Vera, Mariel de Leon, and child actress Xia Vigor and is directed by Benedict Mique. It will be available for streaming on iWant starting November 13, 2019.
The OG film starred Susan Roces as Barbara and Rosanna Ortiz as her sister named Ruth. A remake called Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbara was released in 1995, with Lorna Tolentino and Dawn Zulueta in the lead roles. There was also a 2008 version, an ABS-CBN mini-series which starred Kris Aquino and Jodi Sta. Maria.
