1 It's official! Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is off the market. She spoke about her relationship with Filipino-Swiss racecar driver Marlon Stockinger in a live interview with ABS-CBN News: "I’m glad that I finally met somebody who's very secure with himself and who understands my job, and who's not afraid to let me have my moment such as right now, now that the competition is happening here."
Luckily, Pia's closest and dearest approve—including the Miss Universe Organization. "Esther (Swan, her manager) approves, that’s the number one thing," she said. "Paula (Shugart, Miss Universe president) likes him, Esther likes him, the Miss Universe Organization likes him. That’s a huge relief on my part because, whew, I don’t have to worry."
2 ~*OMG, TOO CUTE!*~ At only 7 years old, Xia Vigor did an amazing impression of Taylor Swift on Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids. In full costume, Xia's performance of "You Belong With Me" had the crowd on their feet and the judges in awe!
3 His birthday may have passed but nothing stopped fans of Alden Richards from throwing him a surprise post-birthday party on January 15th. Held at the the Solaire Resort Grand Ballroom in Pasay City, Maine Mendoza made a surprise appearance to greet the other half of the AlDub love team. She even posted an adorable tweet!
4 Lea Salonga has long been an inspiration to Disney fans—she's the only person to bring the singing voices of two Princesses to life: Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in Mulan. She was named a Disney Legend back in 2011, but apparently she only saw the finished plaque in person in December 2016!
5 Tangled is getting a sequel! Original stars Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi have returned to voice beloved characters Rapunzel and Eugene. In the new animated movie, Tangled: Before Ever After, Rapunzel’s hair has grown back and she has to figure out how to return her hair to its short length. The film is being released as a Disney Channel Original Movie and will lead into the upcoming Tangled: The Series.
