Pia Wurtzbach Gets Booze Named After Her In NYC

It's called 'Pia the drink!'

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach’s fame reached new heights after a Filipino-owned restaurant in the Big Apple named a specialty cocktail drink after her.

A post from Maharlika NYC’s Twitter account on Saturday shared a picture of Wurtzbach wearing a black turtleneck top while holding the cocktail dubbed "Pia the Drink."

The blue-colored cocktail was whipped up by one of The Maharlika’s bartenders named Gelo which made Wurtzbach fondly recall the theme of her crown and gown during the pageant.

After taking a sip, the newly-crowned 64th Miss Universe winner described the drink as something that was "strong."

The Maharlika is a sister restaurant of the Jeepney Filipino Gastropub where Pia was interviewed earlier as part of her growing number of media appearances after winning the crown.

The Maharlika restaurant which highlights Filipino home-cooked dishes decided to give tribute to Wurtzbach’s win by making the "Pia the Drink" cocktail available on their menu.

Pia ended the Philippines’ Miss Universe title drought of 42 years.

She is scheduled to visit the country on January 23, 2016.
