The milk tea craze is far from over. From the good ol' classic milk tea in a cup, we have managed to incorporate this drink into our lives in different forms: milk tea cheesecake with pearls, milk tea hair color, brown sugar milk tea ice cream, collagen-infused pearls—you name it. We even counted how many pearls there are in a regular milk tea order vs. when you ask for extra pearls!
Celebrities are also embracing the booming milk tea culture, with some even opening their own businesses. The most recent one is Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, who opened the first store of "Bestea" with her besties, actress Pauleen Luna and chef Niña Almoro.
Pia happily announced the soft opening of their business venture on Instagram: "This is it guys! My besties and I have been working hard and really looking forward to this—it’s finally the soft opening of Bestea @bestea_ph in Festival Mall Alabang starting today. Come drop by and try the PIA drink...can anyone guess the flavor?"
She also shared that all three of them were "excited and hands-on" throughout the preparations.
