It's time to feed your nostalgia with some *not-so-old* movies from 2011! Whether you're looking for a dramatic family story, a *kilig* rom-com, or a comedy pinoy movie, this list is for you.  

Here's a list of must-watch mainstream and indie movies turning 10 years old in 2021:

1. Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank

"Jocelyn, Rainier, and Bingbong are three film school graduates who are dead set on making an Oscar-worthy film. They set out to do a quick pre-production as a courtesy call to their lead actress played by Eugene Domingo, and a thorough inspection of their film's major location, the Payatas dumpsite. They believe they have a winning script, and the energy and drive to make their dreams come true, no matter what the cost." (via iWantTFC) The movie was followed by a 2017 movie sequel, Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2, and a 2019 TV series called Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story Of Josephine Bracken.

2. No Other Woman

"A happily married man gives in to temptation when a wealthy client pursues him, setting off a torrid love triangle." (via Netflix) The movie contains one of the ~most iconic~ movie lines Cosmo Girls can't stop thinking about"Dahil nga ang mundo ay isang malaking Quiapo. Maraming snatcher. 3. Catch Me...I'm In Love

"When Erick, the spoiled son of the President, is sent by his father on an immersion trip, he is assigned to Roan, a young girl with high ideals about love and romance. When the two meet, they immediately fight about everything and anything, but they do say the more you hate, the more you love." (via iWantTFC) 

4. Way Back Home

In this drama, Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo play sisters Jessica and Jessie Santiago, who are separated as kids. Jessica grew up with the guilt brought about by Joanna's disappearance, and when Joanna finally returns to them, "they find it difficult to reconnect as sisters who used to be inseparable." 

5. Rakenrol

Where to watch it: Netflix 

"Two music-obsessed friends form a band and find their way into an underground rock scene filled with colorful characters and fun misadventures." (via Netflix) 

6. The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin

Where to watch it: iWantTFC

This movie marked one of Vice Ganda's first lead roles in film. Benjamin comes from a family of *macho* men and soldiers, while he is a proud member of the LGBTQ community. But with a very Mulan-esque move, Benjamin joins the army in his father's place when civil war breaks out. 

7. The Road 

Where to watch it: YouTube (Super Stream) 

This is a must-watch horror film! GMA tells us: "The Road tells the story of a 12-year old case that was reopened by investigators after three teenagers disappear while traveling along an old abandoned road where a gruesome murder has been left undiscovered for three decades."

8. Ang Sayaw Ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa (The Dance Of Two Left Feet)

The indie movie is currently unavailable online, but this Cinemalaya Film Festival entry won seven Gawad Urian Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor! The movie tells the story of Marlon, a student who wants to impress a professor and dance teacher named Karen. He enlists the help of her dancing assistant Dennis. According to Daluyong Studios"Through their lessons, the two young men grow closer, but Dennis begins to have feelings for Marlon that go beyond friendship that Marlon does not reciprocate."  

9. Won't Last A Day Without You

Where to watch it: iWantTFC 

A ~bitter~ radio DJ feels guilty and decides to help a guy win his girlfriend back...but falls in love with him in the process! And, yes, Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson starred in two hit movies together in 2011. 

10. In The Name Of Love 

Where to watch it: iWantTFC

"Emman, a former dancer, is beginning to start his life again. With that, he is hired by a political family to the dance instructor for the Governor's Ball, Emman takes the opportunity and once he starts his new job, he is drawn to Cedes, who is engaged to marry the governor's son." (via iWantTFC)
