It's a phone call that any parent may get.

After the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 25, President Rodrigo Duterte hosted a private dinner at Bahay Pangarap, his official residence in the Malacañang Complex. The event was attended by friends and a few journalists.

Sometime that evening, the President got a phone call from his youngest child, 12-year-old Veronica "Kitty" Duterte.

Kitty was not able to attend the SONA because she had to stay behind in Davao City, where she goes to school.

It was later revealed, though, that Kitty—who served as her father's "timekeeper" during the campaign period—had called her dad to ask for his help on her homework about the SONA.

A clip from a report by Ian Cruz of GMA News shows the President on the phone (it starts at the 1:52 mark), discussing the highlights of the SONA with Kitty.
