- Some of Prince Harry's ex-friends are upset because they feel Harry doesn't talk to them anymore.
- A source alleges that Harry started distancing himself six months into Meghan Markle's pregnancy with Archie.
Now, I may not have kids, but from what I understand about the whole "starting a family" thing is that it usually requires you to devote time and energy toward making sure it goes smoothly. This is true for regular folks like you and me, but also true for kinda-sorta former royals like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry! But sadly, in the midst of this royal drama about Meghan and Harry's departure from their senior royal duties, people seem to be forgetting that.
A “well-connected” People source is now saying that Harry cut off a lot of his close friends about six months into Meghan's pregnancy with their baby boy, Archie Harrison. Being a father takes a great deal of effort, but go off, I guess.
“Most no longer even have his cell number,” the source said. “They totally understand that men often drift from their friends after marriage, but there’s still a lot of resentment because they had been so close for so long.”
Let me play devil's advocate for a sec: Say that Harry has been a *little* different since becoming a father. Given the fact that he's super busy with his royal duties and also being a first-time father, it's pretty understandable that he doesn't have as much free time as before, especially as Archie reaches new milestones.
“He’s a strong baby and you can tell he’s super smart,” a source told Us Weekly back in November. “He can sit up without support and roll over, and he’s almost crawling. He can’t talk yet, but he’s trying!”
Archie also loves his dad, so it's time well spent. “When Harry walks into the room, Archie gets so excited, he puts his arms out—his way of saying, 'Pick me up!' You can tell Archie’s going to be a social butterfly. He’s at his happiest when he’s around people,” the Us Weekly source added.
I get that some of Harry's friends are pissed, but if it means that he's trying to be an attentive husband to Meghan and a quality father to Archie, IDK... let him live?
