A day before Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge's second birthday on Tuesday, May 2, Kensington Palace released a new photo of the royal toddler. Taken by her mother, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, Charlotte can be seen wearing a yellow and white sheep sweater with longer hair than the last time she was seen in public in December, when the family attended church on Christmas.
The photo was also shared on the royal family's official Instagram account, which noted that Charlotte posed for the photo at the Cambridges' home in Norfolk, England, in April.
The new photo follows a tradition Kate and Will have practiced since the birth of their children. Last year, the royal couple released a new photo of Charlotte on May 1 for her 1st birthday and four new photos of Prince George ahead of his third.

But let's get back to Charlotte. It was just her big day. Happy birthday, Charlotte!
